Our architectural and construction office, Leon Architect Group uses many types of construction techniques - traditional and modern - such as the "3d panel structural technique" for monolithic building constructions. We have used these techniques in government hospitals, private companies such as LPC S.A. (a member of the Motor Oil group) and in American Community Schools ACS.
Leonidas Pantazopoulos, by achieving the MSc Environment and Energy Masters in Architecture, opens the door to environmental design. Since then, continued interest and research in this field has led to the creation of the "Centre for Education in Sustainable Living". A place where theoretical and practical knowledge is openly shared with the participants to put it into practice.
What exactly does this design offer?
From a variety of different structural techniques and technologies such as: earth bags, tire walls, aircrete, brick wall, cement or ferroconcrete and others, we will use what best suits your needs and desires for the body of the building structure: using organic materials and natural finishes such as adobe floors, adobe walls, straw finishes, shou sugi ban technique, recycled glass blocks, use of earth as sound insulation and others.
We use free residential technologies such as: water collection, water filtration, large and small systems, mechanisms for 4 times water use, natural drainage systems, natural ventilation, passive cooling, passive heating and greenhouses. This is how we reduce the cost of bills to zero. This can also be improved by using off-grid coolers, rocket heating, solar tube lighting, shelf lighting, solar ovens, compost toilet, compost heap boiler, fog water collector, etc.
Last, but not least, integrated food production by growing microgreens and other foods in food growing units, with worm beds to fertilize the soil, etc., providing the necessary food for the building's inhabitants.
We can apply principles of sacred geometry, using golden proportions in the design process as they have been applied to the temples and houses of ancient Greece. We can incorporate the use of biogeometry to harmonize the energies of the building and the space.
